At the time of print, there are two planned events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.  The original VE Day was on 8th May 1945 and marked the end of WW2 in Europe, after almost 6 long years of war. (The war finally ended exactly 6 years after it had begun, on 2nd Sept 1945, and is marked by VJ day).

BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY 5th May 12.30pm

THURSDAY 8th May 9pm

There will be a “Balloon Burn” at Perrott Park (opposite the churchyard).  Everyone is welcome. Please meet on the Village Green at 9pm where Pip and Angie will lead a  crowd to the event.
