The dry weather has caused a moisture deficit in soil that makes up the railway embankments, rendering them unstable for the foreseeable future.

From 28th July, no trains will stop at Crewkerne and instead there will be a replacement Bus service running between Axminster, Crewkerne and Yeovil.

Anyone with a pre-booked ticket should be contacted with options to replan their route.
