Karen Broad (nee Meier) has written to the village with the sad news that her father passed away on 27th March.

David, and his wife Kate, ran the Manor Arms in the 70’s and brought up their 5 daughters in the village.
Different times for the village and for village pubs. Beer, Cider, bar billiards and darts were all that was necessary to be a thriving hub of the community.
Smoked filled rooms and nicotine stained walls were par for the course in days so far behind us that apparently, Tom Parkman still cut quite a dash in his Cricket whites!
RIP David, and thanks for the good times you hosted during your tenure all those years ago.
